To add your Classmate Profile, you will create a Username and Password, so none of your friends has unauthorized fun with your profile -- but don't forget to hit "the submit" button to save your information! Also, you can edit your information (tap on the "edit your profile" button.)
This website does not share your personal information including your home & email addresses, or phone numbers, but it does permit other classmates to contact you privately, without revealing your email address on the website.
This website operates in a distinctly different way from Facebook. So don’t expect to be bombarded with emails every time there is a change. The Reunion Committee, however, will occasionally send updates and news to you about the reunion events as they evolve. But please check back on your own to catch up with new classmate profiles, photos and other news.

Comment: 50 years? Didn't we just turn 18? Time flies! I've been lucky enough to have truly enjoyed the years from graduation to reunion. After Yorktown I attended Radford, met my husband Bill (a Va Tech grad) and a year later we married and began our 30 years of Bill's active duty Army career. Along the way I finished college, taught middle school and held various jobs and positions throughout the world. We have two sons and seven grandchildren who complete our busy life. We are currently living in North Georgia close to grandchildren. It's fun seeing classmates profiles and placing names with faces! Many thanks to everyone involved in bringing us together again! |

Comment: After graduation I went to work for the C & P Telephone Companies. In 1971 I moved to Ft. Lauderdale,Florida. There I met my ex-husband, John. In 1976 we had a son Robert John (Robbie). In 1977 I left Florida and moved to Locust Grove, Georgia. I worked for the State Of Georgia in Atlanta until I retired. Robbie made me a young Grandma, when his son Jacob was born in 1993. Robbie and his wife Shellie and their children, Griffin and Hayden, live 9 miles away so I get to see them often. Jacob is married and a Marine waiting to be deployed. I am looking forward to our 50th Reunion and excited about seeing everyone. |

Comment:
The past 50 years have been full of ups and downs, but mostly ups. I graduated from the University of Illinois in 1972, then moved to Boulder Colorado. Married in 1977, had a son in 1978, divorced in 1990. I've lived in Phoenix (a couple stints), but was pining away for Colorado, so moved back to Boulder in 2000. My son moved back at the same time, so I get to spend time with him (and his wife) often. They're expecting my first grandchild in November, so be prepared for the parade of pictures. I retired from the phone company (do we call it that anymore?) in 2013 after 32 years and am now happily puttering around doing whatever the heck I feel like doing. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone, and I add my thanks to the committee members. I've always wondered what happened to Elihu Fribble, and now I know. RIP, Elihu. |

Molly (Mary Irvine in the class of 1968) have been married since 1969. Since she did a write-up of what we are up to; I will leave it at that. We are looking forward to hearing from you. We don't have many current pictures of ourselves, which is probably a good thing. |

Comment:
Jeff and I have been married since 1969 and have two children -- Todd and Mindy. We live in Belleair, a wonderful small town on the Gulf of Mexico and Clearwater Harbor in west, central Florida (the Tampa area). We came to this area about 20 years ago from Manhattan and Connecticut. We seem to have too many hobbies for the available time, but are quite passionate about boating, skiing, golf, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Jeff has been "retired" for about 20 years after a career primarily as one of several partners in a global portfolio management and private banking firm. He graduated from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida in 1972 and from Columbia University in NYC in 1977. I went to American University prior to our getting married, then worked as a secretary/bookkeeper in DeLand while Jeff was at Stetson University (in order to pay the rent), and then returned to university and received a degree in accounting from Montclair University. I am a CPA amd after keeping the "family going" in NY and Connecticut while Jeff worked I went back to work and now manage a tax and estate accounting practice in Belleair. Wow, sorry, far too much. We hope to read about everyone else. |

I have some great memories of Arlington and Yorktown but unfortunately have not stayed in touch with many of you. I have enjoyed a wonderful life. I left Yorktown at attended Texas A&M Corps of Cadets for three semesters. I then entered the Navy and was married to Lynn Geisinger from Fairfax High School (met while working at Roy Rodgers in Fairfax). I was trained as an Air Traffic Controller and we were based in Brunswick Ga, Jacksonville Fl, Midway Island, and Norfolk Va. We were blessed with 4 children. In 1978 Lynn decided to leave us and I was introduced to single parenting for four years. I had to leave the Navy (they don't let you take children to sea with you!!) and went to work for the FAA as a controller. In 1981 President Reagan fired most of us, but that turned out to be the best for me, as I met my current wife Bonnie during the post-strike events. I was hired as a controller by the Australian Government and we moved to Melbourne for 11 years where we expanded our family to 7 children. Upon our return to the US I worked as a police officer for a couple of years and then landed my current job with QED. I still stare at the computer for 8 hours a day and Bonnie teaches Spanish to K - 5. We love our lives in New Hampshire. We travel to Australia every other year to visit our three children and 6 of our 11 grandchildren who remained there. Who could have predicted all of those twists and turns in the past 50 years! |

Occupation: | Retired Legislative Attorney; Yoga Teacher |
Comment: I graduated from Georgetown and Georgetown law and went to work at the American Law Division of the Congressional Research Service. It was a fascinating career helping Congress grapple with legal issues and I was fortunate to have a part in the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Individualsl with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and all its reauthorizations, as well as working on public health issues. I married too young, had my first son and divorced. I married my current husband in 1991 and we had a son in 1992 (Do I win a prize for the youngest child for a woman in the class of '68?) I retired in 2011 but soon began teaching yoga and now teach about 5 classes a week. Namaste! |

Comment:
I am happily living in Louisiana with my two horses and husband of 43 years (Craig Kaster, WL class of 68). I coached gymnastics for 25 years and spent the next 10 as a volunteer environmental advocate. Now I enjoy writing and photo illustrating my children's picture books. I also enjoy using digital photography to create fine art. Thanks to everyone organizing the reunion! |
