YHS '68 Classmates -- Please click on the"Add Your Profile," box below, and write a little information about yourself. Everyone loves photos! Adding "then" and "now"photos to your profile will help classmates to recognize you at the big event.
If you need help adding your profile, click on the "Contact Us" tab and we will assist you.
To add your Classmate Profile, you will create a Username and Password, so none of your friends has unauthorized fun with your profile -- but don't forget to hit "the submit" button to save your information! Also, you can edit your information (tap on the "edit your profile" button.)
This website does not share your personal information including your home & email addresses, or phone numbers, but it does permit other classmates to contact you privately, without revealing your email address on the website.
This website operates in a distinctly different way from Facebook. So don’t expect to be bombarded with emails every time there is a change. The Reunion Committee, however, will occasionally send updates and news to you about the reunion events as they evolve. But please check back on your own to catch up with new classmate profiles, photos and other news.

Let me wind my story from a different direction than most of our classmates. I work at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in American Art where I continually learn more about art and antiques to help my passion for them. I still have interests in small businesses, and help out my wife and daughter in their businesses. I landed in the Philadelphia area 33 years ago when I went into partnership to lease locomotives to railroads. That resulted after I had been in the equipment leasing field in Chicago. During my time in Chicago I married and had a son and daughter. Here in Philadelphia I have three granddaughters courtesy of my daughter. I finished a MBA at the University of Chicago and did my undergraduate work at Yale University. At Yale, I played football and rugby. I had the fortune of playing on the last nationally ranked Division 1 Ivy League team in 1969. |

Hello to all, I will not be making it to the reunion this year and here is an explanation why. A couple of years ago (as soon as I retired) I developed a condition called PMR (Polymyalgia Rheumatica), an autoimmune condition that causes inflammation of joints resulting in pain and stiffness in hips, shoulders, hands and feet. It had been under control with medication for the last year, unfortunately this summer I had a flare up and I cannot travel for any long duration (so no long flights for me). My wife (Linda) and I live in Southern California – for the last 29 years. I graduated from Denver University with a master’s in business, finance. A job I had with a paging company (remember them?) brought us here to the Los Angeles area in 1989. My career adventures include the entertainment business at Universal, Disney, and Warner Brothers. Interesting insight into how Hollywood works and plays. Linda and I have had many adventures exploring the outdoors in the western United States, especially snow-skiing our way across California, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming and Montana (and Switzerland). I hope everyone has a great time catching up on all of the things that have occurred over the years and please post pictures and comments on the website for those of us who can’t make it. |

I spent many years as an art director in publishing in DC and later a creative director in consumer products in New York. But ... since 1988 I ALSO had a part-time job teaching at the Protocol School of Washington (PSOW). In 2007 I traded full-time in commercial art for 1/2 to 3/4-time work teaching at PSOW, which has worked out really well. I like the students, my colleagues, the travel, and don't miss the 9-5 / five-days-a-week schedule a bit. I live in New York City (Upper West Side) just a short walk to Lincoln Center, Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The only thing that would make it better would be if it were also on the beach! |

Profile "1A" update -- big thanks x 65 to the 50th reunion organizing committee Nice Miss Suzie , Nice Miss Jill, Nice Miss Karen, and Nice Miss Beth and a special thanks to Suzie and good ole Joe-Buck for hosting a great affair last night in Arlington plan for the 50th.. some updates based on last night's affair. Only partially Class of 1968, left after junior year and went to Fort Hood Texas (I'm an army brat/father was West Point Class of 1945) for the fellow service brats in the class for senior year- Killeen High School '; "GO ROOS" . Useful Yorktown memory/experiences include having '66 Goat Convertible and being JV soccer team player/manager which ultimately led to being a training camp equipment manager with the Buffalo Bills and OJ Simpson after college. Also was peace corps volunteer on Palau Island - Micronesia (for all the scuba divers in the class)[and a "hello to other classmates who were also volunteers including Mark Palewitz(sp?) who was there last night and a now retired DOD/Pentagon person),, also was an Instructional Systems Designer in the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia . Have been a Department of Defense contractor dog contractor for the past 30+ years and now working in the Pentagon for the Submarine Undersea Warfare Division ..this being an interesting connection with classmate Bruce Aukland who was a fast attack submarine skipper during our 20th reunion, aka "Hunt for Red October - Dallas".. Will look forward to the reunion and everyone will agree to share various middle-age ailments, pills, operations etc and get that out of the way so all can talk about grandkids. Have a great Navy '68 day. RLH3 |

Comment: Hi All! I just retired December 2016 after 40 years teaching accounting full-time at Piedmont Virginia Community College, to enjoy a month with my daughter in Jacksonville Florida who had my first biological grandchild January 2017! I am thoroughly enjoying retirement, though may teach a class or two part-time in the fall. I remarried in 2004 and also have two step grandsons who live in Maryland. I am blessed to have good health so far and hope to give back. Best Wishes, Linda |
