YHS '68 Classmates -- Please click on the"Add Your Profile," box below, and write a little information about yourself.  Everyone loves photos!  Adding "then" and "now"photos to your profile will help classmates to recognize you at the big event.

If you need help adding your profile, click on the "Contact Us" tab and we will assist you.

To add your Classmate Profile, you will create a Username and Password, so none of your friends has unauthorized fun with your profile -- but don't forget to hit "the submit" button to save your information!  Also, you can edit your information (tap on the "edit your profile" button.)

This website does not share your personal information including your home & email addresses, or phone numbers, but it does permit other classmates to contact you privately, without revealing your email address on the website.

This website operates in a distinctly different way from Facebook. So don’t expect to be bombarded with emails every time there is a change. The Reunion Committee, however, will occasionally send updates and news to you about the reunion events as they evolve. But please check back on your own to catch up with new classmate profiles, photos and other news.

Occupation: geological engineer
Comment: Spent about 12 years in higher education after Yorktown at Lafayette College and Univ of Texas at El Paso.  Ended up with undergraduate degrees in Geology and Civil Engineering and a PhD in Geology/geophysics. Have professional registrations in all three fields.  Married a texas gal and went to work for Gulf Oil until T. Boone Pickens broke things up.  Moved with Chevron to California where we still live.  Have 4 kids, 3 daughters and a son.  Went  into the Civil Engineering side in the mid-1990's and have remained there since.  Enjoy what I do to much to retire.  Still ski black diamond bump runs at heavenly and aspen.  The kids are all in their 20's, but some are still home.  As my wife remarks- The house has been child proofed, but they still get in.

Comment: Thanks for doing this, guys! I was tempted to join Facebook just to see if anything was being planned, but I was too paranoid. And too cheap for classmates.com.

Comment: Dear Classmates, First and foremost thank you to all who are putting the reunion together! I am living at Lake Monticello outside of Charlottesville with my husband Fred. My husband and I have been self employed for 43 years. We have been Realtors for the past 15 yrs. Our youngest daughter and her husband are taking the lead this year in our local Real Estate Business. I volunteer with my Therapy Dog in nursing homes and teach pre school Hispanic children while their mothers learn English . We enjoy Lake living, kayaking, biking,, hiking,, VT Football games and playing competitive tennis together. Looking forward to seeing everyone.   Best Wishes, Betsy

Kay Harnish-Ladd (Harnish)

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Retired
Comment: I was also one of those military kids. I lived in Arlington in 3rd & 4th grade and then moved back for 10th grade. After Yorktown,  I went to Purdue and after graduation I lived in Arlington for 3 years, working at OMB. I got married in 1975 and moved to Denver and then San Francisco. I've lived in San Francisco since 1977. I got divorced and then married John Ladd in 1984. In Denver, I worked for the Joint Budget Committee of the Colorado Legislature. In San Francisco, I worked for the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) for 17 years , as an analyst and then manager, and at our local animal shelter  as Volunteer Coordinator for 5 years. John is a retired attorney, who loves backpacking.

John and I raised two children - my stepdaughter, Anne (born in 1975), and our  daughter, Jessica, born in 1986. Tragically, Anne was killed when struck by a car as she bicycled toward Zion National Park in 2003, when she was 27 years old. Jess has been active with efforts to address sexual assault for several years. The non-profit she founded can be found at projectcallisto.org.

John and I are both enjoying being retired. We travel quite a bit and try to stay physically active. In the last 5 years, we've made it to Botswana, Myanmar, Alaska , Costa Rica and lots of national Parks, in addition to other places.  This year, we checked  New Zealand off our bucket list.

Looking forward to seeing lots of you in 2018! Thanks to all who are helping make this reunion happen. I am going to be sad not to see Cary and Roberta, who are among the classmates no longer with us.
