Columbia, S.C. Meredith “Mary” Kimbro passed away on June 19, 2015, after a long and courageous struggle against cancer. She is survived by her loving mother, Margaret E. Kimbro and beloved life partner, Thomas M. Gernhofer; cousins, Bennett Shealy, Joanne Vanderbosch, Catherine Richardson, Evelyn Anderson and Paul Eleazer, MD.
Meredith graduated from the University of South Carolina, and worked in the Office of the Secretary of the Interior where she received the Meritorious Service Award, the Department’s second highest honor.
