1950-03-29 1987-07-10James Dallas Pickett. On Saturday, July 11, 1987, at his residence in Arlington, Va., son of Pauline Henderson Pickett and the late Roland W. Pickett; father of Jamie Pickett of Nebraska. Also survived by an Uncle, Garland Henderson, and numerous cousins.
Friends may call at the Ives-Pearson Funeral Home, 2847 Wilson Blvd.,Arlington, Va.,on Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Thursday, July 16, at 10 a.m. Interment Arnon Cemetery, Great Falls, Va.
Jim and I grew up in the same neighborhood and with many others shared adventures, explorations and mishaps in our youth. He was always very kind and ready to lend a helping hand. His Dad took us to Griffith Stadium in D.C. to see the Washington Senators "play ball".
