I knew Pat and his picture does not do justice to his open heart.  He was one of the first people who made me feel accepted as a new kid starting high school in a new city.  He had a younger sister Suzy.  She was as nice to me as any person I knew just because I was friends with Pat.  Pat made me think about things in our discussions.  Pat being in San Francisco when he died fits my idea of his view of life.  He was a hippie I think before they were invented but I only saw the better side of that aspect and I do not have an unkind thought about him in anyway because he was friends with me at the exactly right time.
