I am looking forward to seeing everyone.  This reunion should be a lot of fun!  Since I left Yorktown, I graduated from UVA, and worked as a social worker. Married a 4th year med student  and when he graduated, we lived in Minneapolis, Iowa City and then Janesville Wisconsin. While we were in Iowa  I received my Master s in Social Work.   I worked in a private  practice for 25 years.  We have 2 kids who are independent of us (whew).  My second passion is plants and when I retired, I worked in a garden center for 5 years.  Then the travel bug bit and I've been on the road as much as I can!  Thanks to the reunion committee for all their hard work.  See you at the reunion Send Annette a MessageSend Annette a Message

I have been married for 42 years and have 3 daughters and 9 grandchildren. I was a stay at home mom until my youngest went to high school. Worked at the University of Maryland for several years, and then I began working in healthcare for twenty years before retiring in September 2015. Over the years we have spent a lot of time traveling and went on a 12 day Baltic/Russian cruise in July 2015. I still can’t believe I was in St. Petersburg. Much more traveling is planned (right now I am coordinating a fundraiser for a healthcare foundation). Looking forward to this reunion and reconnecting with friends from the past.   Send Helen a MessageSend Helen a Message

Thanks to all of you who are working on this reunion.

50 years is a lot of years!  After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1972, I worked for Thalhiemer's Department Store then haded to Atlanta where I worked for Bauder Fashion College as Director of Education for 15 years.  During that time, I met my first husband, Carl Kiblinger who passed away in 1997.  We were married for 23 years and have one daughter that we homeschooled throughout most of her school years.  I remarried in  1999 to Bobby Respess, a pharmacist who owns his own pharmacy just north of Atlanta.  Our combined family includes 3 daughters, 3 sons-in-law, 13 grandkids, and 4 dogs.  We currently live in Destin, FL where we enjoy boating, golfing, and relaxing at the beach.    I am very active in discipleship our church and also  teach sewing classes at a local fabric store.

Hi All!  I just retired December 2016 after 40 years teaching accounting full-time at Piedmont Virginia Community College, to enjoy a month with my daughter in Jacksonville Florida who had my first biological grandchild January 2017!  I am thoroughly enjoying retirement, though may teach a class or two part-time in the fall.  I remarried in 2004 and also have two step grandsons who live in Maryland.  I am blessed to have good health so far and hope to give back.   Best Wishes, Linda Send Linda a MessageSend Linda a Message

Thanks for doing this, guys! I was tempted to join Facebook just to see if anything was being planned, but I was too paranoid. And too cheap for classmates.com.

Retired Extension Agent Married
I'm excited about reconnecting with all of you after so many years, at our upcoming 50th Reunion, and look forward to joining the planning team!
After I graduated from Virginia Tech in 1972 in Clothing & Textiles, I started my career with Virginia Cooperative Extension, which lasted 30 years, before taking an early retirement in 2002.  My husband, Ron and I have been married for 28 years and have one son, Ryan who lives in Blacksburg.  We stay active in retirement, enjoying travel, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering in the Fairfax Station/Burke/Clifton community and church.  My most passionate volunteer work is serving with the Northern VA Therapeutic Riding Program and with Tea Ministry.  I've also been an avid jogger for years, but lately my morning exercise routine has been more speed-walking!
Looking forward to catching up with you all at our 50th in 2018!

After Yorktown,  I went to Purdue and after graduation I lived in Arlington for 3 years, working at OMB. I got married in 1975 and moved to Denver and then San Francisco. I've lived in San Francisco since 1977. I got divorced and then married John Ladd in 1984. In San Francisco, I worked for the US Government Accountability Office for 17 years and our local animal shelter for 5 years. John is a retired attorney.

John and I raised two children - my stepdaughter, Anne (born in 1975), and our  daughter, Jessica, born in 1986. Tragically, Anne was killed when struck by a car as she bicycled toward Zion National Park in 2003, when she was 27 years old.

John and I are both enjoying being retired. We travel quite a bit and try to stay physically active. In the last 5 years, we've made it to Botswana, Myanmar, Alaska and Costa Rica, in addition to other places.  Next on the bucket list is Nw Zealand.

Looking forward to seeing lots of you in 2018! Thanks to all who are helping make this reunion happen.

Let me wind my story from a different direction than most of our classmates. I work at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in American Art where I continually learn more about art and antiques to help my passion for them. I still have interests in small businesses, and help out my wife and daughter in their businesses.

I landed in the Philadelphia area 33 years ago when I went into partnership to lease locomotives to railroads. That resulted after I had been in the equipment leasing field in Chicago.

During my time in Chicago I married and had a son and daughter. Here in Philadelphia I have three granddaughters courtesy of my daughter.

I finished a MBA at the University of Chicago and did my undergraduate work at Yale University. At Yale, I played football and rugby. I had the fortune of playing on the last nationally ranked Division 1 Ivy League team in 1969.

Speaker/Teacher www.formsofaddress.info/faq.html Single
I spent many years as an art director in publishing in DC and later a creative director in consumer products in New York.  But ... since 1988 I ALSO had a part-time job teaching at the Protocol School of Washington (PSOW).

In 2007 I traded full-time in commercial art for 1/2 to 3/4-time work teaching at PSOW, which has worked out really well. I like the students, my colleagues, the travel, and don't miss the 9-5 / five-days-a-week schedule a bit.

I live in New York City (Upper West Side) just a short walk to Lincoln Center, Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  The only thing that would make it better would be if it were also on the beach!
