ARE YOU REALLY WORRIED ABOUT HOW YOU LOOK? 1968 YHS VARIETY SHOW
Many classmates have expressed excitement about coming to our 50th reunion.  It is a way to reconnect with classmates and old friends from back in the day, make or rekindle new friendships, and carouse through the old neighborhood where you grew up.  Others have mentioned that they are lukewarm about it because….
“High school was an awkward time”      “I wasn’t popular”
     “I felt invisible” “I wasn’t part of the in–crowd"    "I wasn’t a stellar student and hated school”
OLD -- BUT PRICELESS!
OLD -- BUT PRICELESS!

Well, does any of this really matter at this stage in our lives?  What is important is that we had a common “launch pad” into the world.  So let’s get together and see how we have dealt with all those “slings and arrows of outrageous fortune” that life has thrown in our paths … and how we used that launching pad to come out on top!  We have grown up since high school – and grown out of all those teenage anxieties.  What is important is who we are – and not what we have done.  That gorgeous smile or witty personality is what counts.  And what the heck, most of our classmates are retired so we are all in the same boat – unemployed!
    THEN ....................... AND NOW
THEN ....................... AND NOW
Let’s face it -- since 1968 most of us have grown a spare tire or muffin top where our waists used to be, our hair is graying and many guys are balding.  Thank goodness for “Clairol” and natural highlights – yes ladies, we don’t need to “frost” our hair any more because Mother Nature has done it for us!  And for you guys, there’s “Just for Men” hair and beard touch-up.  Geez, we came in all shapes and sizes back then, so what’s new?  After all, we roamed the halls almost 50 years ago!  Sometimes it is better to remember that old adage that our parents used to say: “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”

So we hope that you will throw caution to the wind and join in this epic event.  Your reunion committee is working really hard to make this an incredibly fun and memorable weekend!

Time is ticking away. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a grand weekend!

A quote from one of our classmates: “Thanks for the heads-up! Now I know I have 2 years to make up some great stories about how I lived the past 50 years!”
